Road Vehicle Standards (RVS) Compliance & Documentation Review
Who can review an RVS compliance strategy and supporting documentation?
Commercial Vehicle Compliance (CVC) provides independent technical reviews of Road Vehicle Standards (RVS), ROVER and ADR compliance documentation for manufacturers, importers, body builders and approval holders. We identify gaps, inconsistencies and evidence issues that could delay an application, approval variation or ongoing compliance task. This service is a technical compliance review rather than a government regulatory audit.
What can be reviewed
- ADR applicability and compliance matrices.
- Vehicle Type Approval or Second Stage Manufacture scope and supporting ROVER application material.
- Test reports, engineering drawings, calculations and technical statements.
- Model, variant and configuration control, including whether evidence covers the proposed build.
- Quality Management System and conformity-of-production evidence where applicable.
- RAV data, production records and approval-holder evidence controls.
- Legacy evidence and its applicability to the current configuration.
- Proposed approval variations and changes to production.
When a review is useful
A compliance review is useful before a new submission, before adding a significant model variation, when an application has stalled because evidence is unclear, or when an approval holder wants an independent technical review of the documentation supporting an existing pathway.
What the review is designed to achieve
The review is intended to give the client a clear list of issues requiring attention, the evidence that may still be needed and the practical next steps for progressing the approval. Where CVC is engaged for the subsequent work, we can also assist with engineering evidence, ROVER submissions and approval management.
Independent review before submission
Send CVC the current documentation and approval objective and we can scope the review based on the vehicle, approval type and available evidence.
